Imagine waking up every day with clarity, peace, and purpose. Sounds impossible? Well, this one simple habit made it possible for me, and it has been changing my life for the past four years—and still counting.

Raj, if you want to transform your life, here’s the secret: write every morning and evening, just one page. Write what you feel, write what you think, and most importantly,

write as if nobody will ever read it.

That’s what my mentor told me when I asked him a life-changing question: What is one habit that can change a person’s way of thinking?

Taking his advice seriously, I made a promise to myself—if I ever missed a session, I would make it up in the next one.

I started by buying a notebook and a fountain pen, excited but nervous. I stopped wiring after my academic editing but now i am asked to start it again. Any way it’s only 1 paper a day. And I have freedom that write anything and also do not worry about who reads it. definition no one will read it will be in my room and i am the boss. So I started this journey.

Every morning after waking up, I would write one page. Every night before sleeping, I would write another. One full paper, every single day.

At first, I struggled. I missed a few days during the first two weeks. But I stayed focused, determined to keep my promise and intention alive. I never turned the pages to read. All I see is what i have to write today.

One more thing my mentor advised me: “Observe your writing at the beginning. Don’t force a change—time will take care of that.” Honestly, . I wanted to give it a month—30 days—and then see for myself if there were any changes.

Finally, the day arrived. After 30 days of journaling, I had 60 pages filled with my thoughts. My asset! my thoughts my words all in my way. I read them all on a quiet Sunday evening. I was curious—had anything changed?

I went through all the pages, not once, but three times. Here’s what I had written:

  • My frustrations
  • The good, bad, and ugly moments I experienced
  • What I observed around me and my thoughts about it
  • Sometimes, plain rambling—just writing for the sake of writing

But as I read the last few pages, something amazing caught my eye. The tone, the words, and the clarity had changed drastically. My last four pages were completely different! They reflected a more thoughtful, structured, and calmer me.

That’s when I realised: This simple habit of writing every day can change your life in unimaginable ways.
