How to make Tepache Probiotic Mexican Pineapple Drink

by Rajmahendra Hegde

I am not sure how many people in India tried this Mexican Tepache or Probiotic drink. I have searched quite a lot, but not many can find in India.  We are mostly curd and pickling; mostly, we are not much into actual fermentation.

I had an issue of regular burping, I consulted a doctor he gave me medicine, not worked, two-three times he changed and fourth time is directly Endoscope! he showed my gut wall showed and told all are good but see for some time if you still have an issue come back.

Tepache is a fermented beverage made from the peel and the rind of pineapples and is sweetened either with piloncillo or brown sugar, seasoned with powdered cinnamon, and served cold. Though tepache is fermented for several days, the resulting drink does not contain much alcohol.

My issue prevailed, and I want to get out of this I was searching the net for some solution, and I stumbled upon Probiotic and gut health. Came across different types of probiotic drinks like Kefir, Kombucha, Tapache, Kimchi, Sauerkraut etc. To get out of these doctors instead of trying synthetic medicines, let me try this and start brewing Kombucha.

Eureka!, you know what, burping vanished. It was almost one month I do not have any issue. Since then, I become Brewer.

Tepache is a simple and tasty probiotic one can do at home. I have created this video all to try and benefit like me. All you do is follow the video. You have to make sure you have a better glass container with a tight lid. Ensure the bottle is a good quality otherwise due to the pressure it may bust. See the effect of the fermentation in the video.

Please try this recipe and post your comment also feel free to post your questions happy to reply.
